DoE High School Admissions Round 2 Opens

Date:
March 10, 2014

Who:
Families applying to NYC DoEhigh schools for 9th and 10th grade admission to NYC DoE schools in Fall '14

Where:
Guidance counsellors will distribute and receive application materials.

The two-week Round 2 application period for 2014-15 high school admissions begins on the week of March 10th and closes on March 21st. Round 2 offers students the opportunity to apply to programs that still have open seats and to new high schools. Students who already have an offer from Round 1 can apply again. If they do not match with their Round 2 choices, they will retain their Round 1 placement. If they do match, they will automatically (and irrevocably) be placed at the Round 2 school. This gives families one last look at programs that might suit their students and the chance to discover newer options that they might not have been aware of in the fall.

The DoE will host a Round 2 school fair on March 15th and 16th at Martin Luther King, Jr., Educational Campus, in Manhattan. Families dissatisfied with their Round 1 offer might well think about attending.

To find potential schools, use the DoE's high school directory.
