Who: Families with students applying to New York City-area independent schools for the fall '15
While school deadlines vary (and, as always, we urge families to be in close contact with their target schools to be clear on all specific dates and requirements), January 16th marks the end of the submission period for supplementary application materials to many independent schools around the city. In most cases, initial applications are due in late November or early December. After that, most schools require that applicants complete a series of steps, including taking standardized tests, giving interviews, taking campus tours, and submitting essays, transcripts, and letters of recommendation. These final materials are often due around mid-January.
