The Children's Museum and Harlem's National Jazz Museum have joined together to put together a kid-centric exhibit on the history of jazz in the Harlem Renaissance, between the 1920s and '40s. The exhibit takes kids through a mock jazz club, featuring the music of Ella Fitzgerald and a functional '30s-era microphone and a theater where children are invited to emulate the tap moves of Bill "Bojangles" Robinson. Finally, the music of Duke Ellington invites dancing in a period ballroom. Over the course of the day, each room will feature live performances and workshops.
