A rare Thursday day off for students in New York public schools, no doubt leaving many parents scrambling for childcare coverage. A mid-week break is certainly a good moment for kids to get a few extra hours of sleep and do something fun, preferably outdoors! Do remember though, the end of the year is just weeks away and finals start soon, so profiting from the day off by making up any ground that's been lost over the last few weeks would be wise.
