This one is a highlight for a generation of nerdy parents. In honor of the 40th anniversary of Emo Rubik's maddening puzzle toy, the Liberty Science Center is rolling out a 7000-square-foot interactive installation. Among other things, it includes the 26-foot-tall Groovik's Cube -- so big it takes three people to solve -- and robot speed solvers. For kids who may not have yet cracked the Cube, the exhibit also includes a game called Cube match and a mural that everyone is welcome to contribute to. Also intriguing is the promise of the actual rubber bands, paper clips, and wood blocks Rubik used to cobble together his original Cube.
Details can be found here.
Museum admission is $19.75 for adults, $16.75 for seniors, and $14.75 for kids between 2 and 12 and includes all of the museum's exhibits, as well as the permanent activities.
